Given in trust to the town of Falmouth by Charles and Margaret Spohr upon their deaths, the gardens are maintained by the Friends of Spohr Gardens for the enjoyment of all. This 6-acre  woodland garden was transformed from a wooded jungle first purchased by the Spohr’s in 2020. Open to the public daily from 8:00AM to 8:00 PM visitors can delight in the beautiful perennials that dot the hillside and the many specimen trees carefully tended by Charles Spohr. In addition to the gardens Charles also collected millstones and anchors that grace the landscape. The idyllic location is perfect for an afternoon stroll, leisurely picnic, artistic inspiration, or simple respite on a hot summer day.yellow black eyed susans and purple flowers

In spring the gardens are alive with thousands of daffodils, a favorite of Charles. Later in the season you will find azaleas, rhododendrons, and day lilies. There is limited parking at the trail head on Fells road. Admission is free, but donations are welcomed.
