Four Seas Ice Cream, A Cape Cod Favorite Since 1934

Ice Cream counter with sign board above listing all flavors.Sundae, cone, cup or split, Four Seas Ice Cream in Centerville, MA has been scooping America’s favorite summertime treat since 1934. Housed in a former blacksmith’s shop, Four Seas is just around the corner from popular Craigville Beach. Serving the finest in homemade ice cream in flavors that run the gamut from fresh peach to penuche, this familiar storefront is a throwback to soda fountains of years gone by.

Since its inception, high school and college bound kids have been manning the counter from late May through early September. Popular with visitors and locals alike, the parking lot can overflow with the late afternoon beach crowd and after-dinner sweet seekers. With only a dozen or so seats at the counter the lines form quickly and deep, but the servers have an uncanny way of knowing who’s next. Take a seat in the small dining area to the left of the counter if you want a quick bite for lunch, otherwise take your cone outside for a seat in the shade at a couple of well placed benches.

The recipient of countless awards and recognition, Four Seas has been named one of the top ten ice cream vendors in the country by numerous national publications. They offer pints and quarts to take home and ice cream cakes all year round with advance orders. Watch the local newspaper for their annual pre- and post-season sales. We always stock up for the winter with our favorites. True fans can purchase logo items online or at the shop. And recently a number of local stores have started carrying Four Seas Ice Cream in the freezer section.

Located at 360 South Main Street in Centerville, MA, the shop is open from 9:00 am to 10:30 pm during the summer.

On your way home from the beach, stop in for a cone, and bring some back for your innkeepers. We like peach!
