Cape Cod Beer growler and logo glass filled with brown aleWith the craft beer craze in full swing, it’s time to tip our hat to our local craft brewery, Cape Cod Beer. Founded in April of 2004 by Todd and Beth Marcus, this nearby brew house specializes in crafting great beer, but their true claim to fame is their commitment to giving back to the community.

In recent years, while expanding the business along with their ever-growing line-up of seasonal suds and ales, the brewery introduced a beer garden and a series of special events that focus on learning, laughing, and sharing. Bring a four-legged friend to a monthly Friday night “Yappy Hour”. Test your skills at a “Corn Hole” tournament or swivel your hips at a “Hoops and Hops” class.

During the summer months Cape Cod Beer hosts a weekly Farmer’s Market on Friday afternoons. Stock up on fresh local produce and baked goods while enjoying a frosty brew. Cape Cod Dawgs, their hot dog truck, serves up pretzels and something they call a “Walking Taco” plus the eponymous hot dog during the summer months as well.

Tours are offered once daily at 11:00 AM, Monday through Saturday. You can taste 3 oz. samples of five different beers anytime during open retail hours for $5.00, which includes a souvenir logo tasting glass to take with you.

Open Weekdays (M-F) 10 AM to 6 PM; Saturdays 11 AM to 3 PM; sadly on Sundays they are closed.
