Open the door at the Centerville Pie Company to the sweet aroma of fresh baked goodies that line the shelves of the pleasant bake shop/restaurant that Oprah put on the map. Discovered by the mega-star in 2009 and subsequently made one of her “favorite things”, Centerville pie is the love child of Laurie Bowen and Kristin Broadley, affectionately known as “the Pie Ladies”.Centerville Pie storefront with neon open sign

Starting out with just two full-time employees, the company expanded rapidly to meet the overwhelming demand brought on by being thrust into the spotlight with Oprah’s endorsement. Now with their flagship storefront in Centerville, an outlet at the Barnstable Airport, a commercial kitchen employing dozens of men and women with special needs, and an online shop, pie fans everywhere can experience the wholesome goodness of pies made with love.

Their signature dish, a chicken pie stuffed with tender chicken bathed in savory gravy and sandwiched between two layers of flaky crust, is certainly the standout performer. But all their pies are made with fresh ingredients and assembled with care. Choose sweet: fruit pies, custard pies, cream pies; or savory: french meat, beef, shepherd’s or even lobster! You won’t be disappointed.

Besides yummy pies, the restaurant serves delicious breakfast and lunch offerings including eggs, omelets, quiches, muffins, pastries, soups, sandwiches, and burgers. The pie shop, located next door to the restaurant, is open year round. The airport location is open seasonally, and you can always order online.
