gold numbers 2017 on a background of white bubblesJust a week until Christmas and the temperature here on Cape Cod is 60. Yesterday it snowed. So goes the holiday season when you live by the ocean. We love the unpredictability of it all. And regardless of a blanket of snow on the lawn or not, the Inn is festooned for the bevy of family and friends that will brighten our lives over the last few weeks of 2016.

Christmas Eve is reserved for an intimate gathering of relatives for “pizza and game night”. Not your typical holiday party, but filled with laughter and good-natured competition none-the-less. It’s relaxed and comfortable, much like the day that will follow, but with half the participants.

Our not-so-traditional Christmas menu features Rich’s famous barbeque: ribs, pulled pork, smoked chicken and all the fixins’, with this year’s addition of a “make-your-own” Bloody Mary bar. With 18 of us gathered around the table, ages 9 to 92, it’s bound to be raucous. But we wouldn’t have it any other way.

After Christmas the Inn returns to its main purpose: hosting guests. Some are recovering from their own holiday reveries, others simply enjoying the remains of the holiday season that lead up to the BIG event, New Year’s Eve. We’ve put together a wonderful package for the celebration. Dinner, dancing, champagne. You can check out the details here.. But no matter how you choose to welcome the new year, we’d be delighted for you to be our guests.

Merry Christmas everyone and a Very Happy New Year!
