1_9As I listen to the melodious sounds of Rich readying the deck for the season, I find myself anticipating a wonderful season of serving breakfast to our guests al fresco, watching them enjoy late afternoons cozied up in a deck chair with the latest novel and a tempting treat, or sipping a delicious cocktail as evening gently approaches. Our guests come from all over the world to experience the beauty and magic of this place we luckily get to call home. And a Cape Cod vacation is often tops on many travelers bucket list.

So far this season we have entertained a lovely couple from the U.K. who came for two weeks so that the husband could fulfill his dream of running in the Boston Marathon and they both could explore the bounty of nature found on Cape Cod. During their stay the ospreys returned to their nest just down the street from the High Point Inn to begin their own summer vacation. Fascinated by these avian visitors, they dubbed them Oscar and Olivia and enjoined us to keep them apprised of the birds’ well-being.Osprey

Our first guests from Chile visited this spring, and cousins from South Korea. We also look forward to meeting guests from the United Arab Emirates before the month is over, and welcoming returning guests from Prince Edward Island. Although we may speak different languages, our common thread is a love of travel. We are blessed to meet so many people from all over the world and share our love of Cape Cod with them. From our favorite scenic vistas to the best clam shacks to unique and unusual museums and shops, we’ve collected a wealth of experiences to share with our guests to ensure they have a truly memorable vacation.IMG_0014a (2)

There’s still time to book your stay at our Inn for a visit this spring, summer or fall. Be sure to check out the “Explore Cape Cod” section of our website for ideas on what to see and do during your stay. We can help you plan your perfect Cape Cod day, provide you with ferry tickets for a daytrip to Martha’s Vineyard or Nantucket, arrange discounted vouchers for a whale watching adventure, or secure a reservation at one of our favorite restaurants.
